OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG….
I saw these at Peir 1 over the weekend and they were so gorgeous! I especially LOVE the shaker. It totally fits the theme I am try to create in my house….you know the mosaic and stained glass theme. It was beautiful. The shaker had beautiful deep red Cranberry colored mosaic pieces on it (and they were not sharp!) . I also opened and closed it, and the seal seemed very tight (which is good). It is also larger than my current martini shaker, so if I need to make more than 2 martinis…..no problem! I’ve had the same martini shaker now for almost 5 years and I love it but would love this one too. I like the Champagne Chiller too, they are both so beautiful.
Angel – you are right. I never thought Pier 1 would have so many nice Christmas gift ideas….but they do! And they all are very unique and at surprisingly reasonable prices….maybe I’ll start shopping there again.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving today. I woke up this morning and thought about all the things that I am thankful for and it really is quite a lot…maybe one day I’ll do a post about it so I can remind myself when I am down. However, now that I am starting to wake up with my first cup of Christmas Blend coffee from Starbucks, I thought I would write about what I am going to do today.
Enjoy the company of my darling husband
Savor my Christmas Blend coffee and have a nice breakfast
Straighten up the house a little
Watch some of the Macy’s parade on TV
Enjoy a couple of mimosas
Take a shower
Read a couple of magazines
Help Eban with the BBQ (no turkey for us today, it’s a traditional southern BBQ as the weather is perfect)
Call some family
Play with Elway
Hang out outside – it’s a nice day
Watch a few episodes of Charmed
Have a couple of 4:00 martinis
Eat some pumpkin pie (that is the only turkey day type of food we have today)
Enjoy my Christmas tree (normally we put up the tree on this day, but we already set the tree over a week ago)
Snuggle up on coach tonight with Eban and think about the fabulous day we had

Well, it happens to the best of us. We all have bad days, we all screw up from occasionally and we all wear two completely different shoes at one time, right? And then wear those two completely different shoes out in public (in front of a congregation no less) and then visit with the family without realizing what shoes we are wearing? YES WE DO! Well at least one of us does.
Here’s to you Mom! I love you despite the fact you pay no attention to what shoes you are wearing…..lol. LOVE YOU and your crazy ways!!!

The other day I was walking outside and this is what I saw…well sort of.
I’ve always like stained glass. Think it may have something to do with all the different pieces working together to form one idea. I love the black outlines around each piece, the thicker the better. I just love the clear separation that the black creates for each piece. Also, the colors are usually just so beautiful and varied.
