Happy Halloween!
What are you up to today? Today here are some of the things I will do:
* Drink coffee in my ghost cauldron mug (and think of Angel because she has a cat one)
* Eat a couple of the pumpkin cookies I baked yesterday (they came out very yummy)
* Be a guest on Eban’s podcast today! Remember to check it out later, it is going to be great…I mean scary
* Drink a bit of my favorite sparkling wine
* For lunch and dinner, I will eat the fresh (yes fresh, not canned) Thai pumpkin soup I made….soooo good
* Eban and I will need to carve our 3 pumpkins this afternoon (past, present and future)
* Prepare for the Trick Or Treaters….we have lanterns to put out on the lawn and we will need to find a costume quick smart
Wow, that is a full day. I better go and fix my second cup of coffee and go start some of these things. Hope you all have a super fun and scary Halloween. Anybody roasting some hot dogs and making hot cocoa? If so, PLEASE have one for me!

I am on vacation right now and loving it. Here it is, Sunday night almost 10:00 and I don’t have to worry about getting up at a specific time in the morning.
Tomorrow, Eban and I are having a bit of a premature Thanksgiving. We will be cooking a fresh whole turkey and a fresh (not canned) pumpkin soup and a fresh green bean casserole. The plan is to go into total relaxation mode for a couple of days and eat off of the feast we will be cooking tomorrow. I can’t wait…..
Right now, I just took Elway outside and it is a nice cool and clear night….a perfect fall night. Am so happy to be on vacation this week. Take care everyone…and happy days to you.

This one is for girls only. Unless you are a drag queen you will probably not understand this post. Friday afternoon I went out competitive shopping with some of my Merchant friends from work. We spend the whole afternoon shopping and analyzing everything other businesses do to promote themselves. Anyway, while I was out working/shopping at Ulta, I bought me some make-up from Bare Escentuals. A starter kit of Bare Minerals along with some concealer. I witnessed a co-worker get a free foundation makeover and noticed her skin did look better afterwards, so I had to try myself.
It was weird to by make-up from another company, but I was curious. I normally do not where foundation because I do not like to have my face look “cakey” or fake. But, for the first time in my whole life, lately I have been wanting a little extra coverage to create that “smooth” look.
After I watched the DVD instructional video that came with the kit, I tried it out. I did all the steps just like in the video. My skin did look and feel pretty good. I did not feel the make-up on (I thought for sure I would). My pores were minimized. My skin had a glow I have not had in a while. My skin looked smooth and even. Probably the best part for me was that it didn’t “look” like I had any make-up on at all….my skin just looked better. Eban took the below two photos of me this morning. The top one is BEFORE the foundation and the bottom one is AFTER the foundation. We are not professional photographers, but you can see a difference. Now I will go put some eye color on.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you girls know about my experience in case you were thinking of trying something new for your face….

Hey there world! I am sitting here at my desk and felt like doing a quick post. It’s Sunday afternoon and I am getting some much needed down time. We have guests this weekend….our 3rd visit! Right now Eban, Miss Brenda and Floyd are watching the Broncos game. Liz and I are playing around on the web. It’s been a nice day. I got to eat PF Changs which is my favorite restaurant….can’t believe I haven’t been there in about 2 months.
After PF Changs, we came home and had some fabulous green tea with pomegranate. Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday evening out there. Peace!
