It’s my Friday! I have a lot of work to do today but when I am done, it’s my Friday. Angel and Pat are coming to visit and they are bringing me some twin beds for my guest room! Don’t know how they are going to fit two twin beds on top their SUV…hmmm. Anyway, thanks so much Angel and Pat for riding across state lines with beds attached to your car just for little ol’ me.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend! Happy Birthday Pat and Lynette!

I guess I have writers block. I felt like doing a post but had no idea what to write about. So I decided just to say hello and find out what everyone was doing. Here is my life right now in a small nutshell:
It’s our second night with Elway and she is settling in fine. So far so good. It is nice to have a little furry friend around. I hope Eban, Elway and myself make a great family…guess only time will tell.
This weekend I plan on finally clearing out my suitcase. I have been living out of it since we got here (seriously).
We have our first home repair to do. The guest bathroom toilet broke and we need to replace a part. Since we are expecting guest (YEAH!) next weekend, we can not put this one off.
My car has 1,300 miles already….geez!
I found my favorite British tea at the World Market store the other day and I have drank a cup every night this week! I also found my favorite Californian sparkling water!
Am typing this post sitting at my new desk. I haven’t had my own desk since I was a teenager. It feels nice! That reminds me…I remember I had several desks over the course of a few years. I also remember my first desk (I think) was one that I created….I cleared one of the shelves in my closet, placed a small lamp on it and some paper….then I used one of the bar stools from the bar….I loved that “desk”.
Need to go now to spend some quality time with my hubby and puppy

Faith Update:
It is 4:00pm Sunday, August 5, 2007 and I just woke up from an afternoon nap. It was my first afternoon nap in a while and it felt great. My eyes are still stuck together but since I can touch type I can still type this without having to look at my computer screen. Normally, if I am home at 4:00 I make myself a martini but not today. The first thing I did when I woke up from my nap was grab me a glass of blush sparkling wine. It was leftover from this morning. Yes, this morning after breakfast I opened (well actually it was Eban because I asked him to) a bottle of bubbly. Eban did not have a glass but I had one glass. So, now I have an opened bottle of bubbly I need to drink before it goes flat……oh the things we have to do. Like start a ridicously late lunch/early dinner for us…..be back in a minute.
Well, now it is 4:15pm and I just put 2 frozen chicken breasts and some rice-a-roni to cook. I never cook during the week because when I come home I am too tired. However, on the weekends I try to cook as much as I can . I am listening to my mp3 player on my phone right now as I type this. I just heard a Metallica song and now I am hearing Johnny Cash’s song Ring Of Fire. Wow, from one extreme to the next…..I do love all types of music (except for modern-day country…yuck).
Anyway, I have been very busy at work. Right now is our Christmas time at the office. I have been in Christmas planning mode for the stores for a couple of weeks now and it will not stop for about 6 more weeks. Even though I recently told San Francisco and England goodbye, I am about to travel to both those places again. I will be in San Francisco presenting Christmas to the field teams the second week of September. Then in the third week of October, I am going to London for a forum with home office people from all our major global offices around the world.
The house is GREAT! Eban and I are just loving it. This morning we watered our lawn for the first time. A few days ago Eban cut the grass for the first time. He is doing a great job maintaining the landscaping. We have a pond in the back yard and he recently cleaned it out and the water is creating a nice waterfall sound. I know you all want to see some pictures of the house and the yard and our new car. I will be posting some pictures soon. For now I do need to go though so that I can finish our ridiculously late lunch/early dinner…as it is already 4:30pm.
Hope everyone has a great week next week!
