Yeap, that is what I am today. I will wash clothes, pick up clutter and dust everything. Eban is going to scrub down the bathroom and take care of some stains in the carpet. Note to self – never buy eggshell colored carpet….even better, never buy carpet period! This is all in preparation for us moving. Although my landlord originally told us that the earliest she would like to show our apartment would be June 5th, she has asked to show it early. So, we want to get the apartment in really good shape.
I am putting in our 30 day notice today to leave our apartment. My first day at the office in Wake Forest, NC is June 18.
Well, I need to go and clean now. Take care you all!

Freaky deaky……I just spend my company’s money to buy myself and Eban plane tickets, rental car and a hotel stay to go to North Carolina again. Last time we went strictly for fun to see if we wanted to move there. This time it is a house hunting trip……that is the freaky deaky part.
I haven’t thought of myself as a home owner before. But, quite possibly in the very near future I will own a home. Yikes! This is both exciting and scary. Eban and I will both be in North Carolina May 28 – June 5. Call us on our cell phone if you need to talk.
G – the earliest we are moving is June 16…..however, it may be June 30. Either which way we will not be in California come July 1st.

When I first came back from England in November I went to Chicago (this photo is actually from San Francisco, I took it on my cell phone so sorry for the quality). Back to Chicago – I remember walking around and just being absolutely amazed at the city. It was so vast and I was surrounded by sky scrapers everywhere I turned.
I really want to go back there for a proper visit. Guess the good news is that Chicago is only a 2 hour flight from Raleigh, so maybe Eban and I can take a long weekend there sometime.
Some places within America I really want to go visit one day soon are: Alaska, Denver (I miss it so much), Chicago (obviously), New York and Las Vegas.

Am having a weird craving. I want some hot cheesecake. Last week when I was in North Carolina I tried some hot cheesecake at the Embassy Suites hotel I was staying at. It caught my eye on the menu and I had to try it. I love cheesecake, it is actually my favorite dessert. Suddenly, the fact that I have lived my whole eating only cold cheesecakes seemed inadequate. The menu described it as their signature dessert and that you had to try it to believe how good it was.
The hot cheesecake was indeed divine! It was like a regular cheesecake but with the following exceptions:
It had two layers. The bottom layer was a similar texture to normal cheesecake and then there was a top layer. The top layer was quite fluffy and there was a thin layer on top of that was torched to a dark caramel color. It was served with a drizzle of caramel on the plate and powdered sugar was dusted on top. The whole cheesecake was hot (even the graham cracker crust)….Yummy!
It was so good that I took the honor of ordering one for us in our group dinner and everyone loved it too! Hummm…what are you craving?
