I took a 6:00 flight from North Carolina this morning to arrive in San Francisco today. It’s great to be back in my own place and not a hotel. Anyway, just wanted to say hello to myself and everyone out there. Hope everybody is having a nice weekend.
Right now it is just about 4:00 martini time, so I must go.
See ya.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be in North Carolina all this week. I am leaving Monday morning and not coming back until Saturday night. If you need to get in touch with me, I will be on my cell phone.
I still don’t know when I am moving to North Carolina. Gordon – Hope you and Lynette can come visit one weekend before then. I would love for you to see where we leave. It seems like it will be on about July 1st though which is my annivesary. This year marks 18 years that I will have been married to my darling husband. Who, by the way is an amazing person indeed!
Anway, hope you all have been having a nice weekend. Here’s to a beautiful week next week!

We are moving to North Carolina! I have just accepted my company’s offer to relocate to Raleigh, North Carolina. There is no more debating now whether or not I should go. I thought about it long and hard. Although the severance package was quite nice – it would have been 6 months salary before tax, I am not going to take it. The benefits of going to Raleigh out-weigh staying here in beautiful Burlingame. To name a few:
* Cost of living is lower, so my paychecks will go further and thus improve my overall standard of living.
* My salary will remain the same, so with the lower cost of living I am essentially giving myself a big fat raise.
* For the first time in my life, I have the opportunity to buy a house!
* I will be closer to my family. Just a quick plane ride and I am there.
* No more traveling from coast to coast twice a month.
* There is air conditioning in North Carolina. I have not lived in a place with AC since I left Texas back in 2001. Although to be fair, the temperature in Northern California and back in England rarely gets above 80 degrees.
* With the few hundred a month I will save on rent, I will buy a new car!
* As I am finally settling down and not planning on moving again any time soon, I will get a dog!
I will miss Burlingame very much though. I love this city so much. It is a beautiful upscale little town and it has everything you need within walking distance. I will miss Hola Mexican Restaurant and Steelhead Brewery the most. Am thinking I will have to come back every year or so for a long weekend. This city is just too much a part of me now.
Not sure when we will be moving, but it will be within the next two months – yikes!
