Bring on the comedy

It’s Saturday night, just after 8:00 and I am in need of some comedy. I worked this afternoon and have just gotten home. I am tired and all I want to do now is watch a funny movie with Eban. Maybe we will watch our Johnny English DVD. Rowan Atkinson has always been one of my favorite comedic actors and he seems to have a way with things as you can see in the photo below. Anyway, the day started off great. I had a bit of a ‘lie in’ this morning (as my British friends would say). Then I had a nice coffee date with Eban. I took a shower and we headed outside to go to the store to buy our monthly electricity and gas. Afterwards, we went to Misty’s Wine Bar and had a freshly ground sirloin beef burger (very tasty). During lunch (or guess maybe it was brunch since we did not eat breakfast), we had some fabulous conversation. I do love talking with my hubby. After brunch, I went to work and Eban went home.

Work was work…it was almost a normal afternoon since my colleague Mark was there as well. Speaking of Mark, I just wanted to ‘mark’ this day as the first day I have ever heard the term ‘wet’ when used to describe someone. I won’t forget that one….maybe I’ll use it next time I need a clever word to describe someone I have a certain distaste for. Anyway, Mark…if you are reading this, thanks for all your funny and unexpected comments at work, I do love them!

There is a lot going on right now in my life and in Eban’s life. I am super busy at work and so is he. His site has been moved to be officially part of Podshow now and that is very exciting. So, go now and check out the changes and listen to a show or two….there is something for everyone since he does a different show every weekday.

Back to my need of comedy tonight…..I found this animated gif a while back and it always puts a smile on my face. As I am in serious need of some comedy and a smile tonight, I decided to share this crazy photo with all who is viewing my site. Hope no children come to my site…guess I’ll find out if I get nasty comments.

Happy Independence Day!!!

Here’s to America…. the land of the free, home of the brave! Although I am technically a legal British resident right now and love this country, I do love my home country too and just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July!

I am a little home sick today and really wish I could enjoy an American BBQ. But have to say that I did have a little taste of America today and won a box of Oreos in the office trivia. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a glorious Independence Day!

Today is my 17th anniversary and I would just like to take a moment to tell my darling hubby that I love you! I never get tired of saying those three words, in fact every time I say them I feel it more….the love that is.

Eban, you always make me feel so beautiful and special and I adore you for that. We have been through so much the past 17 years and we are still going strong. Thank you for being such a wonderful partner, I can’t think of anyone else that I would want to share my life with.

I love you and your sparkling blue eyes, love your big strong arms, love your sexy broad shoulders, love your passion for knowledge, love your tattoos (all of them, especially the one you know where), love the way your eyes look when you look at me (it melts my heart), love the touch of your hands, love your amazing cooking, love your beautiful paintings, love your awesome podcasts, love your manly voice, love how you make me feel….I could go on and on.
