Yeah! It’s Friday…..and to think only yesterday it was my Monday. This is the life. Anyway, I just had a cup of Friday morning coffee and am ready for work. My sexy husband is in the shower as I am writing this and I have a taxi to catch in 10 minutes, so don’t have a lot of time. Just wanted to say hello, happy Friday to all and to give a bit of news.
Eban and I will probably have some celebrating to do tonight. If I’ve peaked your curiosity, you will have to check out today’s podcast when it gets posted this afternoon. It’s hard rock and metal Friday, on top of some great news/changes to the show. I am so proud of my hubby and if you want to know why, go and listen to today’s podcast.

Yeah, I’ve been neglecting my site lately. Even on my long weekend I haven’t really done anything to my site. Actually, Sunday and Monday I didn’t even get on the computer once! I have been enjoying my long weekend. The weather has finally broken a little and there is patchy blue skies this afternoon. Yesterday, I had a calling, yes a calling. The wind and waves were calling my name. I was looking out of my living room window, out onto the English channel. The sea was really rough and the wind very strong. Even through our closed storm windows I could feel the wind! As the wind was whistling through the windows and making my closed living room door shake, I thought to myself that I wanted to feel the full power of this magnificent wind.
I put on my old jeans, my old tennis shoes and my wind breaker with the hood firmly tightened around my head. I also pulled back my hair because I did not want it to sting my face as the wind would surely whipped it around. I told Eban I was going out for a bit and proceeded to leave the flat. As soon as I stepped outside, my feet were taken back by the wind and I had trouble closing our front door as it wanted to swing open! I briefly thought to myself that if I could barely stand up by the door of my flat that by the time I walked the 3 – 4 minute walk to the sea that I may not make it or ‘fly’ away. I couldn’t resist, I started the walk. No one else was around, as I walked the path I found myself leaning forward against the strong wind. As I got closer to the water, I could hear the massive waves crashing one after another. When I finally got to the seafront, it was amazing. The waves were so loud, so big, and so frequent. Normally the channel is quite calm, but not today! I seriously could barely stand up, so I decided to sit on a bench that was facing the water. The sea mist was spraying me, the wind was whipping at my jacket and my face, the roar of the waves was piercing my ears and I loved it! I closed my eyes (partly because the wind was drying them out) and I just listened to the waves and felt the wind.
Soon after I had arrived, I saw a man with a really nice big professional camera taking photos. Then I guess he decided he wanted some close-ups, so he approached the beach and started taking photos of the waves from the sand. After about 2 minutes, a big wave came out of nowhere and almost took him out to sea! He was completely drenched and had fallen down to the ground. He got up and left immediately after his almost consumption by the water. Hope he and his camera are ok.
After about 10 minutes, I had to leave myself. My face was freezing and wind-burned. The walk home went much smoother as the wind was ‘nudging and pushing’ me all the way home. It was like I was battery operated or something. I thought back to when I was little. I used to love to go outside right before a rain from a major thunderstorm would start. There is something in the air at that time and I’ve always loved that energy in the air when the weather starts to turn bad. Anyway, just felt like sharing my little story. I know it’s probably a bit boring for you, but for me it was enlivening.

It’s raining and am beginning to think it is never going to stop. It’s been raining most of the day and I just want it to stop already! Hmmm…(sighs)….Anyway, I am still trying to enjoy the day despite the rain. I’ve worked one hell of a long week this week and am resting up a bit with a 5 day weekend. Awwww…don’t you just want to hug someone….someone like this cute little thing…

I don’t have to go back to work until Thursday (yeah)! Had a wonderful morning, Eban and I had a ‘coffee date’ and a ‘tea date’ so far today. What we did was turn on some chill out ambient music and conversed about our lives twice today! I love coffee / tea dates…..we did think of you Angel….remembering all the coffee dates we had. Hope everyone is having some type of a coffee date today! Coffee / tea and great conversation…that is the life!
Really don’t have a lot to say. I need a day or two to recuperate after this week and then maybe I can start to feel normal again. Am thinking about making me my famous 4:00 martini in about 20 minutes when it will be….guess what, 4:00! Then I may go sit down in front of the tele and watch a movie or something ….
Happy Saturday night you all…

Gee wheez, I sure hope you guys aren’t measuring me by the number of posts I do. For a while now, I’ve been posting just once a week. It used to be I would post every couple of days. For some reason, I haven’t been feeling up to posting a lot or even getting on the internet that much. Maybe it’s a phase, maybe not, who the hell knows. Any which way, I am here now and suppose that counts for something.
Today was a gorgeous day. Bright, sunny, warm (well at least warmer than it has been) and hardly any freezing wind! The high was 46 and the low tonight is 37, not too bad. My head has been in an odd place this weekend. I’ve been fighting little demon-like voices. Am a bit conflicted about what I want to do with my life next. One thing for sure is that I still love what I do and think I just need to keep focusing on that for now. As well as getting healthier and happier.
Am listening to Eban’s Friday show. It is kicking some booty if you know what I mean. As I am writing this, Rising Conviction is playing and am feeling like I can do anything! This song is really cool! Let’s see, what did I do this weekend just for a quick recap. Friday night my inner demons were hitting me pretty hard and I hardly slept. There was a period from midnight to 3 am that I was wide awake. Saturday we went to Worthing. I was on the hunt for a new hand bag and a sheet. I wanted a new hand bag that had a base large enough to accommodate my lunch salad without it tipping over in the bag. I also wanted a new sheet, preferably Egyptian cotton or some other high thread count sheet and I wanted it to be on sale. Well, not only did I find sheets on clearance, I also found an Egyptian cotton duvet cover for my down comforter that was on clearance. The sheets and duvet cover were 70% off! And to top it off, I absolutely love the pattern and colors of the duvet cover, it’s so nice. I didn’t find a hand bag in Worthing. But when we got back to Littlehampton, I went to a thrift store and found a brand new designer bag that was very cheap and it is going to be perfect! Oh, don’t worry Angel, I am still carrying a small purse (would never switch to a big purse), this bag is to carry lunch and maybe a folder or two. Today (Sunday), I have stayed home and have been lounging around. We had two cups of coffee this morning, then a fry up for breakfast, then a bottle of champagne for brunch, then had some green tea, then watched two episodes of Charmed, then had an afternoon nap, then had some black tea with milk, then had a Thai red curry with fresh coriander.
Right now, I am about to go watch the BBC show Planet Earth. Hopefully will learn more about the magnificent world we live on! Take care you all….
P.S. Have a great time in good ole Texas Sis!!!

Some people just have no class and are just plain disgusting. Britney Spears evidently changed her baby’s stinky diaper on top of a restaurant table in Los Angeles recently! Am getting sick of how celebrities think they can get away with anything just because they are famous.

We all know that those tables are usually just wiped down with water. It’s horrifying to think that feces or urine was so close to the table top. What if you were the next person to sit down for a meal on that very table? Changing your baby’s diaper on top of a table in a restaurant is just so wrong.
Thanks for being so gross and inconsiderate Britney…….arrrrgh! You obviously don’t have any public manners or cares for a hygienic and sanity eating experience.
