Well, I made it through yesterday. I got a lot done and I still have a good bit to do. But as long as I do not get any interruptions and stay focused I will meet my Christmas deadline. Can’t wait until Wednesday night when this is all over. I left work at 6:30 last night so it wasn’t that late of a night. Tonight will probably be a little later though, tomorrow my Christmas pack is due!

Anyway, here is a photo Eban found that I think is kind of fitting right now. I have been faced with a huge challenge getting this done so fast and I am feeling really tough right now……..like I can do anything! Like this little guy below…

Well, Hurricane Rita has come and gone and I am RELIEVED. My family are all alright…..thank God. Nothing was damaged with their properties either. They just have a bit of cleaning up to do with all the branches scattered everywhere.

On another note, this week is going to be another crazy busy one. Am planning on pacing myself as much as possible to avoid any burnout. My big deadline for Christmas is Wednesday and I still have a good bit to do the next couple of days to meet it. I do have someone helping me and it will be fine. Speaking of people helping me……Eban worked with me last night in the office for 5 hours. Nothing like working in a big office building at night. Thanks Eban….your help was much appreciated and I wasn’t as freaked out since I wasn’t alone in the office at night. That didn’t stop scary things from happening though. To name a few…we saw a couple of vans in the car park pass by with lightening speed…..we heard weird noises all night….we saw the lights blinking….and we saw a freaky ass security guard that appeared out the dark with weird stoned-like eyes. It’s amazing we got any work done at all….the whole night we felt like someone was watching us! We were all like……”what was that?….what you looking at?….did you hear that?….did you see that? Here is a great photo representation of what we were feeling…..we were FREAKING OUT and SUSPICIOUS of everything….

Felt like writing a quick post before I went to work. Just wanted to say I hope and pray for everyone being affected by Hurricane Rita. As it approaches, I am feeling a lot of anxiety again thinking of my family and all the other residents of that region of the US. It’s only been a few weeks since Katrina and now this.

Hope everyone in my family will be safe. I love you all….next time I see each of you…you will get a big hug from me!

To stay updated on the latest, I have seen some good reports at:

If you find other sites with really good coverage of Rita, please leave the address in a comment so that we can all benefit.

Be safe everyone…

Feeling stressed or tired and have 5 minutes to spare? Try this breathing technique I found. It can help you to make it through you day feeling a bit better.

kitty_meditating

Time Required: 5 minutes
Here’s how:

1. Begin by lying flat on your back or standing up straight. You may also sit up straight in a chair, if that is more comfortable.

2. Place your hand on your stomach area (not shown in photo).

3. Breathe as you normally would and notice whether your hand rises or your chest rises.

4. To breathe properly, your stomach area must rise as your diaphragm expands.

5. To learn to breathe correctly, begin by slowly breathing in through your nose on the count of 5 while gently pushing your hand up with your stomach.

6. Hold the breath for a count of 5.

7. Slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of five while gently pushing down on your stomach.

8. Repeat this process for 5 minutes.

Tips:

1. Do not be angry with yourself or give up if you cannot do this exercise correctly right away. It takes practice. Give yourself time.

2. Close your eyes for a few of the breaths to help increase the relaxation process.

Hi everyone! I am drinking my cup of morning coffee and had a few minutes to spare. So before I lost any readers for not posting 3 days in a row….thought it was time to do a quick post. It’s is a very busy week for me as I am approaching a major deadline at work. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around, just really busy.

Ummmm this coffee is good. I love my morning cup of coffee. I like mine creamy, strong and very hot! So hot in fact you have to chew it (yes, I used to chew my coffee when I was a child it was so hot). Anyway, I was thinking about a post TA did a while back “coffee is the devil” was the subject if I recall correctly. My feelings for coffee couldn’t have been better said. I love the stuff and so does this cute doggy named Pooter, who funny enough, is a co-host on theRFL podcast shows.

Hope everyone enjoys their morning coffee and their day!!!
